5 Core tips for a Teacher’s Improvement

Teaching is the act and art of imparting knowledge, skills and Morals. Teaching is an act because its a doing activity and an art because it involves movement of the body parts. Teaching is not static in nature and its subject to change, can be modernized because knowledge increases and mode of transmission can change from time to time.
The followings tips would help a teacher who wants to improve achieve same. They are workable tips irrespective of location and other challenging factors.
1. Refuse stagnancy. Do not remain the same teacher in methods, knowledge and conduct as engaged few years ago. Desire change and embrace the desire for progress as a teacher. The appetite is a drive that would allow the necessary moves.
2. Pursue Improvement. Once you identify the desire for progress in you, pursue the paths to it. Go for more qualifications, practice more and refuse to mingle with those not growing and comfortable the way they are.
3. Research. Never stop learning. Google for relevant information. Read articles such as this. Be inquisitive at everytime.
4. Remain in Class. Never quit practicing teaching. Either paid or not, strife to be in the class daily. A thief is one because he steals and a teacher is one because he teaches. Do not joke with your been in class. Practice your profession regularly and you would gather the requires experience that would keep improving you.
5. Be a ‘Mentee’. Have a mentor. Get someone who has gone ahead of you in teaching and be submissive to him or her. Keep the relationship going. Communicate with him or her as much as possible but don’t abuse the priviledge. Read his or her books, materials or journals. Attend seminar your mentor would be staging or involved.
You can be the best among your set if only you keep improving yourself. Teaching is not boring to those growing in it. Make up your mind for steady growth. Thanks for reading.
